It's the same here in Texas. It is just the County Sherrif that is voted into position.

Of course if it was a British copper, he'd get the same earful....They are public servants, not Little Hitlers. Always somebody higher up the food chain than your average knuckle scraping neanderthal that is an American Cop
And as for my right to be in this Country with my attitude, I'm leaving this American sh*t h*le in January

slim to none...most require that you be at least a permanent resident before you can apply and be eligible to apply for US citizenship like in california somewhere....but most places will require you being a citizen....do a search for the subject as it's been asked a few times.

What a pity we can't swap those that want to be here with those that wish they weren't here.

if you have a greencard, and are eligible to apply for citizenship you can get hired, just as long as you then apply for citizenship.

Thank goodness, you do not need to be here. And BTW, all police are not like that, even having to deal with a lawbreaker like you Hopefully, you will not need them to help you out before you leave.
You seem to have little respect for anything just because things didn't go as you had hoped. My hubby worked as a civilian for the police in England and is in the interview stage for a civilian job here with our city police. He (and I) have great respect for the police in both countries. He is very impressed with our community's police force and really hopes to get the job.

On top of this, it's not a particularly well paid job. You get to deal with the dregs of society, and attitudes such as the ones we have read on this thread.
A shame really - I for one would like to say thank you to these individuals. Lord knows they contribute more to society through their work than I do, and they put up with a lot of crap for their contribution.
