We all knew it was him once he got to the till to order, you can tell that voice anywhere!!! It was nice, cuz no one said a word to him, everyone just left him alone!

I met his Dad, Pete Beale, when I used to work at Center Parcs. Along with Jeremy Beadle, Mr Motivator, Andy Cole and Neil Ruddock - not all at the same time though! Man, what a celebrity hot spot!

The Wobbly Wheel now there's a blast from the past, been quite a long time since I've been there, didn't see Ian Beale though not sure I'd want to either.

I can't say that I like American humour its just plain stupid. I do not see what people rave about in Friends, Seinfleld etc. Let me have some Reggie Perrin, Butterflies & Bless this house.

I used to see Buster Merryfield (Uncle Albert) in town sometimes, and he used to own a chippie about a mile from where I used to live. He was a very nice bloke, and would go out of his way to have a chat with fans of Only Fools & Horses. I must admit though, there is something slightly surreal about bumping into Uncle Albert in Sainsburys.

I also saw Jeremy Beadle from a distance once, but I don't like to talk about that.

Do these have to be Brit celebrities that people have met/seen? Had dinner in the same restaurant as Bill Murray just outside Boston a few years ago - he was on the next table over.

Had a similar situation in New York with Neil Pearson (from Drop the Dead Donkey) - if I recall correctly he was in Bridget Jones's Diary and it was about the time that came out so I presume he was here promoting it.

the only remotely 'funny' u.s. comedian i've heard was a guy we saw in vegas...george carlan think his name was...he was ok but nowt compared to the uk ones mentioned in this thread...we love watching del boy and fawlty towers over and over and over again...still the one liners are soooo funny

Was on the same flight to Spain(years ago) with johnny Briggs aka Mike Baldwin...what a pain in the ass...his golf clubs were not waiting for him when he got off the plane...he caused a right holy stink....I`m sure I heard the little gem DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?.......celebrity big head..
Lived in south Africa for a while...we were at a Pro/Am golf tournament in Orkney..Gary Player was just about to tee off when he heard someone coughing....the big headed bugger threw his club down and refused to play until there was absolute silence!! The event was to raise money for charity....
