British Day at work!

Beer and pickled eggs.
I'd do scones and Jam and cream. and a big pot of tea spiked with whiskey.
US version of sausage rolls (hotdogs chopped in half and rolled into half of a Crescent roll) then cooked in the oven the night before and served cold.
Jello and Custard.

I'd do miniature pastys... but make them cheese and onion ones
You could make a fully cooked shephards pie, and take it in a crock pot to warm it up.
Cucumber sandwiches
Triffle
Toad in the holes, but baked in muffin pans with weaner sausages

You know everyone is expecting to get some spotted dick and some toad in the hole.

When I read the title I assumed you were all going to take in a shovel and take it in turns to dig a little hole while everyone else watched......
No new ideas on the food - any idea you could get a deep fat fryer and do fish and chips?

British day at work? Two hour lunch breaks with four pints and a packet of pork scratchings.
That was my British day at work.

Wholefoods sell clotted cream - its in the cheese section - be prepared though, its about $9 for a little pot!!!
How about a victoria sponge to finish it off. I like the idea of telling them its an English tradition to drink lots when there is a Royal wedding - they wont know if its true or not!
