Re: A British Broadcaster looking for work in the USA?
I'm in the Twin Cities and it seems like at least one ad per break features a British accent. We're obviously the 'in' thing at the moment
There's certainly seems to be a lot of local TV stations around - WCCO (cbs) in MN downtown, Fox are at Eden Prairie, and there's also KSTP (abc). The public television channels are MTN.

What state would you like to work in?
I suggest you go online to the media type of company you want to work for, then contact them by email or look at the local papers, online etc. There are also public forums for people who have similar interests.....
One of the biggest things over here about getting a job is your network, you need to develop these forums is gone good place but there am sure many others.

Hey everyone I'm new here
About to make the permanent move to the US in the coming months and look for jobs in that strange entity that is the American media...
How do you guys feel seeing British Journalists/personalities on American TV(are we dulling it up?). Fox "News" seems to have snatched a few Sky News reporters lately.
Be interesting to hear from any media professionals working in the US, has the novelty of your unique "Britishness" been an advantage in finding work or a disadvantage because the mainstream cant relate to a non-American on TV/radio?
