The Memsahib's dad served in the Aleutians during WW2, luckily the Japs stayed on their side of the island, and the Yanks on theirs, according to her he found it incredibly boring where he served. Guess he was one of the lucky ones then.

I thought the japs didnt have any Aleutian islands, they were part of the state of Alaska. All of them.

So why did the US Army not repulse the invaders?

Napalm would have been a very useful asset in those days.
