Default Brit actors coming to a small screen near you

Some bird who used to be in Eastenders taking the lead in the Bionic Woman (would get the cooking and cleaning done quicker I suppose), and some bloke from Trainspotting in JourneyMan (which looks like it might be pish).

Obviously then there is Hugh Lawrie in House and various other folks who have already made there mark over here.

Are Brits just really good at acting or are Yanks just crap ??

Perhaps they enjoy selling their soul to the devil? I jest. Not to forget Lancashire lass Anna Friel will be playing Charlotte "Chuck" Charles in ABC's Pushing Daisies. Also Damian Lewis (my fave, yum, yum) in NBC's 'Life'.

One could make arguments the other way somewhat. Ann Hathaway in Becoming Jane; Annette Bening in Being Julia; Billy Crudup & Claire Danes in Stage Beauty; Johnny Depp in Finding Neverland; Renée Zellweger as Bridget Jones.

Yep - that's why I was amazed when I saw her on the Bionic Woman trailer tonight. Has a bit of a horse's face, but she'd prob get a shot at the title none the less.

Just seen trailers for Bionic Woman and Journeyman, they look pretty good. I will definitely give them a try. Lots of Brit actors seem to be moving here, Alfred Molina, Craig Ferguson, Hugh Lawrie of course, and some others. I think Alfred Molina and Craig Ferguson are U.S. Citizens now are'nt they?

I'm sure Ferguson must be - don't know about Molina though.

Incidentally, Louise Lombard who appears in CSI is also British.

I just read that Linus Roach, Bill Roach's son (Bill Roach has played Ken Barlow on corrie for the last 47 years!) is the new ADA on Law & Order now that Jack McCoy has been promoted to DA.
