Crunchy Nut Cornflakes through the week, in the summer when we have lots of fresh berries in the house I have those with some granola and a bit of creme fraiche. Must admit I am a huge fan of American pancakes, so if we have breakfast out i'll have them. Normally have a bacon sandwich with HP on a weekend.

The very high point of American Civilisation is the English Muffin.
I used to buy the cheap generic brands... then realised that Thomas's English Muffins are infinitely superior. The "Traditional," of course, not the whole wheat or cinnamon raisin etc...
Seven days a week, I have one English Muffin, toasted, with butter, standing in the kitchen listening to the 8 o'clock news headlines on NPR. Then weekends, sometime between 10 and 11a.m., I make hash browns and cheese omelette for the two of us. (My wife is a late riser, since she works nights during the week..) Sometimes, home-made cheese blintzes or buttermilk pancakes with applesauce etc. etc...

I quite like those Thomas English muffins myself. A while back I managed to get my hands on some blackcurrant jam and it goes very nicely with them.

This will probably cause my fellow BE-ers to start a petition to have me stripped of my British passport, but I *love* American bacon, and much prefer it to British bacon. I also prefer American breakfast sausage over British bangers. And I agree that Thomas's English Muffins are fantastic.

I've only ever been meh about the pancakes or French toast or other sweet stuff with breakfast though. I'll gladly eat them if OH is in the mood to make them, but if we go out for breakfast I usually skip stuff like that.

However, as my blood pressure has shot up since moving here, most breakfasts these days are just muesli or oatmeal. Mmmm, oatmeal (I love porridge and oatmeal too).

You can like it all you want! As long as you don't mind that I think it's shite . I still eat it when offered so as not to be rude. I just smother it in HP sauce . . .

Weekdays - some sort of mix of eggs, bacon, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes
Weekend - often full fat greek yogurt with a few blueberries.

You guys are all carb-addicts.

Bran Flakes during the week, full fry up on weekends if my wife gets up early enough to cook it for me. The fry up varies but usually consists of white toast, fried or scrambled eggs, turkey bacon (more meat, less fat, when lightly cooked it is very like normal British bacon in texture), baked beans (regular pork and beans are close enough). On special occasions I'll have eggs benedict.

Weekdays-coffee.
Weekends- coffee, sometimes bacon and eggs if we have bacon, or pancakes if we feel like the dealing with the hassle. Usually just coffee though.

I'll hold my hand up to that one. Sometimes if I have no time during the week, my breakfast is a Twix out of the vending machine
