Blooberg for President?

Re: Blooberg for President?
I thought that was covered as Mayor of NYC?
But seriously, yes, of course. International experience as well.
Err, "International" means those places I've vaguely heard about beyond our borders, right? Like the so-called "Canadah"?

Re: Blooberg for President?
(Actually, that's just a cheap shot - Bush is as much as a rancher as I am, it's just a convenient persona).
But this is an unconvincing argument in any case - no-one's going to have direct experience of everything, and only incumbent presidents are going to have experience of running a country before. Running a city that's larger than many states (and even some countries) is a pretty good start, don't you think?

Well, at the moment we have a rancher and look how that turned out...

Re: Blooberg for President?
I'm sure someone will have mentioned that to him at some point...
An interesting snippet from his Wikipedia page:
On This Week on June 10, 2007, anchor George Stephanopoulos mentioned four necessary conditions Bloomberg insiders say would be prerequisites to a presidential campaign for the Mayor:
1. 70% of the nation would need to feel as though the country is moving in the wrong direction.
2. Both nominees would need to have disapproval ratings in the 40% range.
3. 40% of the country would need to be open to a third party candidate.
4. 20–25% of the country would need to be "open to Mike Bloomberg". During that airing, panelist Jay Carney also made allusions to a conversation between Bloomberg and top staffers. During said conversation, Bloomberg asked approximately how much a presidential campaign would cost, one staffer replied "around $500 million."
