The Becks? Please! They’d live in your ass for the amount he’s getting paid. The good parts of LA are everything north and south of it.

I love it when people make the sweeping statement LA is horrible, I hate LA etc. without any reason to back it up. LA has a lot to offer if you take the time to scratch the surface. Sure it has it's bad side like any major world city with a few million population

Smog, traffic, Cement as far as the eye can see, gratuitous American consumerism. That is my opinion not everyone will agree with me.
I don’t believe I said I hate it now did I LL. If it’s such a great place you might be there instead of Santa Monica hu.

Erm - since when has Santa Monica not been in LA? I'm sure that's its in LA County even!

Proof that most people who make this claim know nothing about LA

Santa Monica is about 15 miles West of Downtown LA, just look at the smog and concrete I have to put up with ( photo attached)

Here is a piece from my blog showing a recent walking tour of Downtown LA that I took;

http://britishexpats.com/blogs/lionh...+pictures.html

Then there is the Getty Center about 20 minutes away;
http://www.getty.edu/

LACMA - http://www.lacma.org/

Korea Town, Chinatown, and Little Tokyo if you like Asian food and culture.

Numerous concert halls such as the Mark Taper Forum, Dorothy Chandler Pavillion, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Ahmanson Theatre;
http://www.musiccenter.org/

The Staples Center, Home Depot Center and Hollywood Bowl for sports such as basketball, ice hockey MLS football and outdoor concerts;
http://www.hollywoodbowl.com/
http://www.staplescenter.com/home/default.sps
http://www.homedepotcenter.com/

Numerous beaches from Malibu, Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach.

Marina Del Rey if you want to go fishing or take a day trip to Catalina Island;
http://www.catalina.com/main.html

Numerous Parks and hiking trails if that's what you are into;
http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=626
http://www.nps.gov/samo/index.htm
http://www.totalescape.com/destin/map_losangeles.html

In the winter skiing is about an hours drive;
http://www.mthigh.com/main.html

Then there is Universal Studios, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, numerous Parks and outdoor swimming and BBQ areas.

Yeah, LA it really is shit compared to our smug neighbors in San Diego and San Francisco. **** all to do here as it's all concrete and smog.........................

Like I said it’s my opinion. Don’t Care what links you post still don’t like it. I notice almost everything you posted links to are the posh parts. Sure there nice if you like that kind of thing.
“Korea Town, Chinatown, and Little Tokyo if you like Asian food and culture”
Ya can’t find that anywhere else
“The Staples Center, Home Depot Center and Hollywood Bowl for sports such as basketball, ice hockey MLS football and outdoor concerts.”
Who really cares doesn’t make a city better to live in. Again my opinion.
“Then there is Universal Studios, Disneyland, Magic Mountain,” Hell on earth.
“Yeah, LA it really is shit compared to our smug neighbors in San Diego and San Francisco. **** all to do here as it's all concrete and smog.........................”
Finally you see the light from behind the wheel of your Hummer on the way to by some Prada bag or some such thing.”
