IMHO knoxville has very little going for it for people coming into the age group between the above - its incredibly DULL, whereas Nashville has a buzz and a big city feel without the hassle (yet) of Atlanta-style traffic
if I didn't have family and friends there it would fall nicely into the category of non-descript american cities that I don't really have any need to ever visit again

Chicago is easily the best place to live because:
1) The roads are all straight so you don't wear out the sterring on your car.
2) You are always crawling along the freeways at between 5-10Mph so you can take in all the beautiful grey scenary.
3) It's flat so the water never runs off, it just makes nice little lakes everywhere.
4) In winter you don't need to pay to keep your freezer running, just place all food outside.
5) The potholes in the roads makes driving exciting.
