I thought Matt's humor was pretty darn good too! And "on point".

Perhaps, rather than considering location and weather, you should be considering your finances.
I assume that you will be studying as a foreign student, so why don't you make your list include those Universities that will give you a full salary and pay your tuition. Trust me, it makes a big difference depending on where you apply as to what your incomings and outgoings are.
Perhaps you need should look at your GRE score and decide from that where to apply, because that will also limit where you can go.

I have lived in Wva grew up there nice summers seasons as in Uk. Lived in Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, Ga, Fl. When we move back to the states this year we both fancy Alabama. We like close to Gulf Shores, where we can reach it in three quarters of an hour. Yet we can own acres of land very cheap. Very close to the Florida Line. Close to gambling in Biloxi Ms. Weather is good what more could you ask for

1. USC -- LA. $$$$$$$$$$

2. Oklahoma -- low cost of living, but someone would have to pay me to live in Norman. How much do you like rednecks?

3. Auburn -- ALABAMA.

4. California -- which campus?! Costs of living in CA are high.

5. Texas -- where I went. Good. Hotter than hell in summer. Voted a "bargain" for out-of-state and international students.

6. Utah -- Cold. Do you want to drink?

7. Michigan -- Cold. Ann Arbor is lovely. Detroit is a nightmare. Football (American) stadium is bigger than any other building on campus by 10x. Medical school there -- very well rounded full-service university.

8. Florida State -- Warm. Big on (American) football again.

9. Boise State -- Idaho. Cold. Biggish city but isolated from the rest of the US.

10. Louisville -- bores me to death. Coldish, not as bad as Indiana or Illinois but Purdue and the Univ Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have MUCH better reputations for more snow, much smaller cities, but real "college town feel."

I personally can't believe no-one has mentioned Tennessee or one of its many universitites

Cheap cost of living
More temperate weather than deep south (florida/alabama)
schools to fit all budgets and educational requirtements (From UT to Vanderbilt)

Nashville was also the number 1 city in the USA for businesses to relocate to, so after college finding a job should not be too hard

I didn't much care for Nashville, but Knoxville is a nice city, and easy drive to the Smokies from there.
