You might be surprised - my wife gets them to drop all sorts of charges we've had Wells Fargo waive fees for going below minimum levels on savings accounts etc, late charges removed on credit cards (payment missed as bill not recveived) and just yesterday she got Continental to drop flight change fees on airline tickets - she had to change an e-ticket for some flights to the UK, and the terms say its $200 - she talked them out of it by playing dumb and claiming she didn't realise there was a time difference so she booked on the wrong day! And she got away with it...duh....Have to say, I wouldn't have the nerve to do it, as I don't think its quite "right" - you buy the ticket, agree the terms, you should stick to them, but there you go..
