We had a lovely surprise over 'St. Patrick season'!...a small supermarket in Pontiac, called Aldi's,was selling 'Irish Bangers' as a seasonal product (12 in the pack,1lb) for $2.79!.........we bought loads and froze them down............they're looooooveeeely!!.........sorry guys! tee hee!....Sophia ;)

Their prices seem to have soared :( We wanted to order 9lbs of bacon and 8lbs of sauages from them and shipping alone was $65.00!!!
We can't afford that, nearly $200 in total just for sausages and bacon, I don't think I can justify that :o

Not quite the same but they were very passable in place of chipolatas for Christmas dinner.

I think Williams take the piss actually $18/lb for bacon? Dearer than fillet steak. We bought a large gammon joint which turned out to be 1/2 fat skin and bone very disappointing. I'm curing my own as we speak still waiting at the moment.

Just so you know Bob ;) my little sausage experiment turned out very nicely :D

I tried the Cumberland sausages and the Guinness stout blend this time.
We had toad in the hole for supper Sunday with the Cumberland ones and they are great, free range piggys and hardly any fat/grease, bloody delicious!

So the stories about Lumberton Farmers Market closing down aren't true. Glad to hear that.

The Williams bacon is better than the regular sausages. I still have some bacon and sausages from the big Christmas present from my in-laws last year.

The shipping is expensive but necessary because the products are perishible. That's why if one wants to make an order, it's best to make it a big order to make it worthwhile.
