Seemed pointless taking lessons.

Plus of course you would have to search hard to find someone who did them.

I took my written test by mistake, very easy, if you can drive around the block you can do the practical.

cold turkey, there's no point in lessons...though in some states, if your under 21/25 you have to have a learners permit for x amount of time before being allowed to take a test and some states require learners ed before you can get a permit...

Think it was my BIL that told me if you take a couple of lessons before you take your test, it lowers your insurance. Just a thought.

depends on your state...around here and in Maine, it doesn't make a difference....advanced driver training on a skid track could save you 5-10%...but have to be taken at approved places and the courses go for around $300-500...so hardly worth it.

Its even better in Arkansas. Like you said the written isnt too bad. When it came to the actual driving test the State Trooper asked me how I found driving on the other side of the road. I told him that it wasn't a problem as I had driven in Euorpe a lot. In that case he said I guess you don't need a test and signed my slip!

Lucky or what!

TN test was easy too. Theory was multiple choice with the obviousness of a phone in Premium rate quiz line. Practical was 5 right turns around the block.
