That's the Irish Pub. My wife got booted out of there once for dancing on the tables. LOL.

FWIW my Dutch fiance (I'm a Yank, TruBrit) has also said that the stereotype of rude/arrogant/ignorant Americans and especially Texans is not what he's actually found. No, they aren't worse in his opinion, but better, especially on the nice scale.
Elvira, there are plenty of people in Austin who'll hold random lengthy conversations about anything, but no, it's not the same as holding one with Brits. Which is why I love Brits.

They have a more relaxed attitude to skiing in Europe, don't they
Gluhwein on the piste. Or Skiwasser + Schnaps.
I remember one snowy day in Kitzbuhel when it was sooooo cold and foggy that it was impossible to ski for more than 15 or 20 minutes at a time. We loved those strategically placed Alpenhutten restaurants!
Not sure how we got off the mountain in one piece at the end of the day but I guess we managed it somehow!

OMG we did that too!
Can't remember where though - all a bit hazy
But I do remember that I ripped my salopettes. The next day I bought one of those patch-thingies and sewed it on to cover the damage. I think the slogan on it was 'Have you had your oats today?'
Ah, memories!
