Ah I see. Seeing you're Irish I assume drinking's involved!
Ach dam I was trying to keep my sarcasometer pegged but couldn't do it. Forgive me, blame my yank dad and glamorous Cleveland upbringing.

Zoom!
I guess someone's never seen RD. Must be the only Brit on the planet!
Go to Blue alert.
Are you sure, sir? It DOES mean changing the bulb!

Stick around with me, kid, I've been an Internet snarker since before there was an Internet. No lie. We were chatting using an internal University network program that linked the dorms and academic buildings in the campuses across the state in 1984. Some of us were using 300-baud modems.
Of course, I can't say everyone in the US exactly appreciates my sense of humor, either, based as it often is on puncturing the piss-balloons of people who are Wrong On The Internet.

Re: American humour
I'm insulted by your lack of insulting me.
I was just underlining your point about Americans slamming each other. My experience, it really depends on location and class. For instance, I would never mention certain ethnic backgrounds and proclivity to tempers.
And of course, no subjects of the Crown anywhere are fond of their bitter.
How'm I doing? :-) Almost time for a Guinness, cheers.
