I had 2 Dodge Rams SM. 1500 long bed and a 1500 Sport. I thought about a Nissan, but if you're in the US you may as well go for it. Great in a straight line but not great at cornering especially in snow or ice, unless it's a 4x4. With hindsight I would have gone for a crew cab, the shopping ends up everywhere in the bed. They are fun though.

I'm gonna have fun and the roads are long and straight in Texas (and no ice or snowwhere we are)

Lordy Lordy, have you really forgotten the school-closing arctic storm of 2011so soon? .....as a reminder, I give you a pic of my neighbours roof, stressed under the load of snow in the immediate aftermath of the blizzard.
