Has anyone actually been tempted to order something at Olive Garden, and refuse to pay because 'you're family'? I know I do every time I see that bloody ad .

Those capital one adverts with David Spade in make me laugh. I like the one where hes looking in the 1001 ways to say no book, Niet, Nien, Nunka!
The only ad to actually make me laugh since I got here.

This just reminded me... there was a show on tv a day or two before superbowl sunday, replaying adverts from previous superbowls and from countries around the world. I just caught the last ten minutes, but enough to see their top three adverts - all from the UK! Seems that we've got a knack when it comes to making interesting/entertaining adverts!

Can't remember what the show was called, or the channel it was on. I'm a veritable fountain of forgetfulness.

I hate that 1-800 SAFE AUTO advert. There are 3 actors who grin inanely throughout the entire thing. I have to change the channel immediately or else the TV gets screeched at because it causes me pain to watch even 10 seconds of this drivel!

I don't normally post on this board, but this thread is a good opportunity for me to vent. The stupidest commercials IMO:
1. The Enzyte commercial for natural "male enhancement" (with the smiling Bob)- this has been showing on practically every commercial break on spikeTV for the past 2 years and it gets me nauseated if I don't flip the channel fast enough.
2. JG Wentworth for cash now
3. The Ditech "no more credit card debt" trashomercials
4. There was this law firm commercial that luckily I haven't seen recently that asks you to call them if "you or someone you know has committed suicide or attempted suicide"
5. The Quizno's commercial with the talking baby. It's stupider than their old rat commercial.

I have to say I like the Geico commercials in general, particularly the caveman one. There was also a Mountain Dew commercial that I liked where a guy on a boat got swallowed by a whale for his can of Dew.

Any of the Carls Jr. ads: Let's show some disgusting guy with appalling table manners shovelling so much food into his mouth that half of it falls out again.....If Carls Jr. is full of people eating like that, I'd rather not go there thanks. If Carls Jr. is assuming that all guys eat like that, then hubby is extremely offended and won't go there thanks. If that's the sort of clientele they are hoping to attract, then good for them, because it will get these pigs out of the other restaurants and we can then go to Mc. Donalds to eat in safety.......the only thing that's missing from these ads is a voluminous burp at the end....

Paint.

Question: has anybody ever seen a real TV ad that did feature farts? I can't think of any, but there must be some out there, past and present.
And I mean human ones - the farting horse in last year's superbowl beer ad doesn't count.

There's my contribution to the day's intellectual discourse.

Hi ppl, this is my first post and I feel kinda bad that I'm ranting against the country I'm intending to stay in for the rest of my natural. But I have to say the only adverts in this country that don't seriously make me want to barf are the Geico ads. I've kinda taken to that little gekko.

Nearly every other advert is loud, obnoxious and grates severely on the nerves. My fiance always mutes the ads and at first it annoyed me cos I wanted to hear them, especially the ones selling wonder mops and cleaners (I dunno, I have a gadget fixation). Then he started letting me listen to them and all I can say is no wonder there is so much violence in the country The ads are to blame.

The worst one we have here in Texas is for one of those ambulance chaser lawyers. Jim Adler "The tough, smart lawyer, if you've been hurt in an accident, call me RAAIGHT NAOWWW". And if he says it once he says it a million times. The southern accent isnt the most enduring but he just makes me want to take a shotgun and go postal on his ass.

Other than that, I'm liking my new country

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but the Ford ad where the woman sings "my baby is a genuine Ford"
Does that mean millions of people around the world are driving around in 'fake' Fords, and I hate country music
