McDonalds kids chocolate shakes are another thing I argue about

"I'll have a cheeseburger happy meal with a chocolate shake please"
I say it quite clear and am asked to repeat it about 5 times because I don't speak English, then I get the meal with Sadie all excited only to be handed a tiny bottle of cheap chocolate milk for a shake.
"I said chocolate shake please" and hand the bottle back.
"That is a chocolate shake" says the slob behind the counter.
"No ! ... Thats a tiny bottle of chocolate milk that I could get from family dollar for 25 cents, I want a childs chocolate shake"
"We don't have child size cups" says the slob.
"But you do have chocolate shake"
"Yes but only in small adult cups"
"Then you had better put it in one hadn't you"

They do eventually comply as I watch carefully to make sure they don't spit in my daughters drink.

They save a lot of time and money by trying to palm people off with those f*8kin bottles of crap ..... Don't let the bastards !

I loved the bloomin' onion...it was minging, yet lovely at the same time...

Did use to like Chili's, the one's in Maine were great, not had any luck since, and well, bit shite...shame as the ribs were usually pretty good.

Next town along the highway has a Golden Coral ....all you can eat buffet....
Spent 5 minutes in the place once ....slop is the only word I can think of that describes the food..runny slop at that. Now I'm not a little bloke by any standards but in that place I felt positively skinny ...

Ended up at a place called Khoury's, run by a Lebanese family....fresh food made to order, salad from the owners garden and chicken and lamb kebabs cooked to perfection

Jalapeño cheese cornbread is delicious.

As Cindy said, it's a version of journey cake. It was easy, fast and cheap to make while on a journey, so the pioneers and the cowboys on long cow drives would make it. No yeast needed, no rising, etc, could be baked in a pan over the fire or fried. Corn bread is great fried as in hush puppies (though don't get the ones from Long John Silver's).

What about Red Robin? Anyone know anything about their calories or fat content?

I loooooooooooooove Red Robin. Yum yum yum.

Applebees, Chilis and Charcoal Grill can all blow me, and I hate that crap they serve you at IHOP. Try a Perkins instead. Still crap, but the restuarants don't smell like cigarettes.

My in-laws own and run a couple of Culver's restaurants. Their food's pretty good but I dread to think how bad it is for you. Butterburger or frozen custard, anyone? I can hook you up.

GOOD coffee, and I've always liked their patty melts. Plus I can get a whole dish of pickles,

DH is all about Huddle House's Philly Cheesesteak omelets.
