Why do you think that will get the truth? Alternatively, how will you know you have the truth?

Have you checked what the first four are, recently?
Only 3 of the commandments are against the law in most werstern countries, and they are pretty basic obvious rules that any community will come to very quickly.
don't kill, don't steal, don't perjure.
I went to a Catholic Prep School. That's why I'm an atheist

1 - Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2 - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image
3 - Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
4 - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy
5 - Honour thy father and thy mother
6 - Thou shalt not kill
7 - Thou shalt not commit adultery
8 - Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
9 - Thou shalt not covet

I actually find 4-9 useful. 4 sounds quite religious until you think about the reasoning behind it. We all need time off to rest and reflect. Working 24/7 365/365 is not healthy or useful for society.

Even 1-3 have basis in fact. Don't worship flam. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is - it's not all about "stuff" or materialism... Stop swearing - there are other ways to express yourself.

The others are all pretty self-explanatory.

Point being, you simply can't be sure, you could spend so much time researching false information that perhaps others involved could go underground. Either the guy will volunteer the truth or he won't. Personally, I'm surprised he didn't kill himself.

Last time I looked, California hadn't detached itself from the rest of the country. So your premise has no merit, when it is so easy to cross state lines.

Perhaps people should be required to have a passport to cross statelines. Would mean you'd not have to toughen up on any of that gun control malarky on a level playing field :/

I'm not surprised...he's young I don't think he would have the guts or conviction.

How do you measure a reporters test experiment to a real life situation?
In this covert world I doubt if there is some form or exact record keeping. Who say's it doesn't work?

Could torture result in false information? Sure it could. Could no torture result in NO information. Probably.

It's what you do with the information you get. That's the important part, because you sure as hell can't do anything with no information.

If this guy is fit, hook his nuts up tonight.

So you are the first up to show your arse.....

Cling to your talisman, and continue to confuse facts with your agenda.

Foreign Terrorists Killed and Captured in the US for their acts of violence against innocent American civilians.
