1ST NOA and 2ND NOA. The Difference?

1ST NOA and 2ND NOA. The Difference?
Vermont Service Center received my package to adjust status from a K1 on May 25th and issued the 1st NOA June 1st.
What's the difference between the 1ST and 2ND NOA? Would I have received the 1ST if the checks were not cashed/cleared?

The first NOA indicates that they have received your petition and that they taking
action on it. The second NOA is the approval. Ranjini
