A year passed an still waiting.
Hi All
Just thought I would you a quick run down on how my case is doing.
Filed AOS Marriage Based Feb 13th 2006
Reciept Date Feb 16th 2006
Biometrics taken April 26th 2006
Interview May 3rd 2006
Pending due to Name Check.
Numerous times gone to local office within the last year.
Today went to USCIS an was informed my name check is still pending but
only 1 name check is outstanding now. The name I go by presently...
(current marriage) I guess in a year 2 out 3 names aint bad but still
very frustrated with the whole situation...Hoping an praying they get
my marriage name back soon. Also was informed since my fingerprints
will expire within the next 2mths that they will NOT redo them that
they will just resubmit the originals which is a relief as I live 2hrs
away (1 way) from local office (Denver, CO)...but will see if that is
actually what happens.
Well hope that it comes through soon....please keep me in your prayers
as I am really hoping it will be approved soon as my grandmother isnt
doing the best an I am not eligable for advance parole.

Just wondering, if anyone knows - why wouldn't someone be eligible for advance parole? I thought it was fairly automatic.

Overstaying any kind of visa makes you not being eligable for advance
parole not just a visa waiver. My visa I overstayed by a bunch so I
will get a 10yr ban. Needless to say I am not going anywhere.
