4 years ago I have appied for AOS and now I am thinking to change my name.I was
wondering if I would have to refile everything over again. Or it wouldn't matter to
INS? Any thoughts? BTW I my app is still pending! Thanks.

You're better off waiting - Otherwise most likely the processing time will be delayed
(FBI and CIA checks).
Also, note that once you are eligeble to become a US citizen (assuming you choose to
do so) you'll have the opportunity to change your name at that time, without having
to go thru the legal process.
I'm not a lawyer, and that could very well be wrong...
