Why an interview if I-90 used for renewal?
In general what are the reasons for the INS to see it fit to do a full
interview in case I-90 is used for renewal of a GC?

Hi Ray,
I formulated my question as concise as possible so, as I see now, I
overlooked a potential misinterpretation, namely that the interview would be
assumed as already planned. That's not the case. I just wanted to know what
in general likely reasons are that they want to interview you so I can come
prepared. (BTW it's not the INS of course but the USCIS).

I know the form mentions it, but I have never heard of people being called
in for an interview for an I-90 GC renewal.
