what happens to USA GC if i accept canadian GC
Hi
I live & work in US, i-485 GC pending.
my application for canadian permanent residency has been accepted and
my passport has been requested for stamping, my question is If i get my
passport stamped with canadian permanent residency will this effect my
green card process in US adversely.
I want to stay in US, i only applied to canadian greencard for backup.
Please advise

I can see two issues. The first is that when you get your US GC stamped,
and USCIS sees your Canadian permanent residency stamp, they could
question your intent to actually reside in the USA. That's pretty
far-fetched, though, since the only people who will see the stamp are
front-office people who probably aren't trained to pay attention to such
things.
The second is that in order to remain a US permanent resident, you must
actually reside in the USA with your primary residence. In order to
remain a Canadian permanent resident, you must actually reside in
Canada. You might run into timing issues (although I hear that the rules
in Canada are more generous, and with careful planning you may be able
to time going back and forth so that you can keep both).
