Ask the right questions to whom? Regardless if the person answering is an attorney or non-attorney, that takes away your DIY status. But I assume that is OK with you (and its certainly OK with me).
Again, good luck with your case, and in addition continued good luck with your Cabriolet!

I owned a series of Volkswagens for years starting with a 1968 Type I beetle. The last one I owned was a 1979 Rabbit [mfg'd in Westmoreland PA]. That car broke me of ever owning a VW again -- the most unreliable car I ever had.
BTW, word of warning to Volvo owners with 4-valve engines -- replace the tensioners when replacing the timing belt. The extra $$ is cheap insurance since you should also be replacing the water pump at the same time.
