Default What is the case number?

Is there anyone know what is the case number if I want to check my AOS
status online? I have the receipt with me from INS, but I do not know what
13 letter and numbers?

Great thanks.

If your case was filed with a Service Center, it will be that number.

So employment based cases will have the things such as WACxxxxxxxxx for CSC, EACxxxxxxxx for VSC, LINxxxxxxxxx for NSC, etc.

Last time I looked, Baltimore filings were were directly filed with VSC so will have the EAC number.

There is a program being instituted of shifting family based filing from the local districts to the National Benefits Center in Missouri [via the Chicago Lockbox]. Los Angeles is not in that system yet. But if you directly filed with NBC, the number might be the MSCxxxxxxxx.

As of yet, the system does NOT allow for tracking by the eight digit "A" number that applies to the individual rather than individual applications.

If you can't find your case number, then it might be worth looking at the back of the check you paid to the Service Center for the visa. It is usually there - or it was for us!

Good Luck

I agree. I've seen it on the back of checks many times.
