want to change my last name - will this just complicate things?
I want to change my last name now to my husbands last name. We are in
the middle of filing a I-130 and I-485. Well, we are waiting of
course. My husband is the beneificiary and I am the sponsor.
Does any petitioner/sponsor have experience changing their last name
during your wait? If so, are there ANY (insignificant or significant)
idiosyncrasies I should be aware of that may complicate things?
I ask because I really have no idea what future documents will have my
name on them and I want to make sure there are no problems ahead of
time.

As long as you can connect the names with an official document, it
shouldn't be a problem with USCIS. What do you mean by "in the middle
of filing"? If you haven't filed yet, then file with the name you are
going to be known by. AOS based on marriage is quite common and so is
the issue of having different names on different documents. USCIS is not
going to penalize you for not getting your name changed on your passport.
