Default visa eagle mantis

I have been informed by the Warsaw Embassy that all Russian born K1
applicants are now required to go through the "visa Eagle" back-round
check. I haven't been given any information about the time this
usually takes to complete. I've written to several congressmen and
senators, as well as my lawyer and nobody seems to know what this
clearance check is all about, but most importantly, how long this
check will take! Everything is ready to go with my fiancee's visa but
this clearance check. Now another waiting period begins! Is there
any one at all out there who has gone through this sort of clearance
check. My fiancee is from the Ukraine, but was born in Russia, her
parents are both Ukrainian and returned to their home town within a
month of her birth. She has lived her entire life in the same
Ukrainian town with the exception of the first month! This has no
bearing on the Russian born status though. All Warsaw or the
congressmen can tell me is, "this name check can take from 3 weeks to
several months!" Has anyone out there got any first hand information
on the time frame for this clearance check??
Thanks
Fred
