Default visa Condor

Please anyone going through the visa condor background check can you
please post on this site.
I have been waiting for five weeks so far for the visa condor, I am
hoping for only three more weeks like we were told..
I check every single day for postings from people who are going
through the same process.
Please when anyone gets their visas can you please post for others to
read.

I have been waiting for 13 months so far,, and that is after trying to
have my fiance go to another country to teach, so that he could leave
there and we could apply from there, if we include that then we have
been waiting for over two years.
It is supposed to take 8 weeks what have you all been told?
Sincerely,
Ellie

Hi Ellie

Patty Khadijah and myself have just started this part of the process....hers is for a K3 and mine is for K1. We're trying to collect data also to see how long it will take to go through NVC. Where is your fiance/spouse from? Ours are Egyptian and Iranian, respectively. We're anxious to hear from others as well.

Who was it that told you 8 weeks? The NOA2 says 30 days (which we all know is just a number).

Good luck in your wait, we are hoping for short processing times along with you.

Dear Ellie,

Iv'e been waiting for security check since November. Still waiting,
and I was told "6 to 8 weeks" by teh Embassy. (I assume it's visa
condor, because they don;'t actually give any details, and from the
info from this group I assume that this is what's going on. Which
country is your fiance from?
Are you in the US?
Sorry if its not what you want to hear, but things are pretty slow...
Sorry you've been waiting for so long.....
I hope people who did get the visa will post - I have no idea what the
time frame is. Keep the faith! - we'll get there eventually :-)

A.

We have been waiting for 7 weeks now and no end in sight. However, this weekend we will be working on letters and doing things constructively to try and get the condor visa checks moving faster. We started a yahoo group for name checks and dealing with the visa condor.

I am not sure where everyone is at with their visas, but there
possibly are two checks, one before the interview and one after, if
you your fiance either lives in a place where there is possible
terrorism or they think your fiance might be a terrorist.
If you have been waiting since November, a girl I met went to her
Senators and kept on pushing until they did something, they got the
check done in a week after she complained, they went and did her visa
checkseparate from everyone elses.
But she waited for 8 months..
I think if your name gets a hit on it , then it takes longer if it
just goes right through then you wait around 8 weeks to 12 weeks.
I try to read everything I can on the subject and this is what I have
gathered.
take care all,
Ellie

my husbands interview was on june 4 for a k3 and his name was a hit. they said they will have to request a name clearance fmr the state dept , they said it can take 45 days or 6 months.
is the visa condor the same thing as what is hapening to us?
i contacted my congressman and he was kind enough to call the embassy. they told him to get back to them in 45 days.
well monday will be 45 days.... what should we do
good luck to every1

I would write my congressman again and state dept and consular affairs. From everything I have read that is only area where you will get help -------- keep pestering them until something is done. We have been waiting for seven weeks now. FBI has stated repeatedly that the worst case scenario for waiting is 4 months, 120 days. I know a couple of people that have called State Department and been told after 90 days you can call the State Department and they will send out a request as to why the clearance has not been done.

I have two email addresses for state department:

[email protected]
[email protected] (this is the Assistant Director)

Don't expect to get any replies but sometimes it does help to get the process moving.

dear Ellie,

quick question: this girl you know who asked her senator who then
pushed them to run a security clearance faster. - WHO EXACTLY did the
senator contact? The Dep of State? Or who? (I don't thionk embassy is
of any help at this stage..., tehy just try to geet rid of you, and
tell us "wait".)
I would try doing the same, but who did they turn for help to?

Could you please clarify? (the type of her visa would also be
useful...)

Thanks a lot.

Maybe they should have named it Visa Vulture. We've been waiting nearly four months on K3 from Russia. Two Senators have contacted NVC on our behalf and so far it has not helped... Packing my bags and heading back to Russia for the birth of our son in August. Dam them anyway! Good Luck to all.
