Default US Tax ID - easier route to US immigration?

Hi all,

I responded to an ad today to a US based company helping people move to the US, advised me to set an up an incorporation in the US which gives you preference when submitting immigration papers.

Apparently the USCIS look for a "yes" under the question does the applicant submit a tax return?

Has anyone successfully submitted a business visa recently and been made aware of this? Or is there anyone else who can confer or refute this notion?

I've never come across this idea in my research, on this board or through any conversations with visa consultants or immigration lawyers.

Thanks

Did they ask you for money to "invest"?

My scamming radar just went off...

... and these facts, alone, should raise the red flags!

according to the ads i hear on the radio here anyone can incorporate a company in about 10 minutes (for a fee). No doubt this company takes hours of work and fees to do the same.

If it was a legitimate route then everyone would be doing it.

and i havent seen any immigration papers that ask if you submit a US tax return - and why would they - the visa docs etc are trying to get you into the US where you could start to pay taxes.

Hi all,

Thanks so much for your responses. This board is more valuable than Google at times!!

I'll probably delete the post if can.

Cheers

Thanks MsElui - in my late night tiredness, I couldn't find the delete button anyway.

Have a great weekend.

Apparently there are no fees only the ones to register the LLC which is comparable with other company formation businesses.

The owner advised me that he's been recommended by Emigrate/Outbound Publishing. Are they credible?

Yes you're right - but as I regard this board as a fountain of knowledge I thought it best to run it through here too. Thanks.

No they didn't, interestingly enough. I personally see it as a way that they can get their company formation business up and running which is a gateway to their immigration, realtors and finance contacts.

They're a visa consulting company as well.
