cheers for all the info guys.
i have been away from enlgland since 06, just getting working visa's for countries and heading there, and i did have a perm residency visa application for aus, and my visa was granted the other week. so now i have a some where to fall back on i feel its time to hit the road again. i also know that you cant work in the states ona tourist visa, but i have other plans. im going to be wwoofing while out there. hopefully i can get the 90 day visa then. thanks again folks |

yeh organic farming. its a great way to travel mate. you help out on farms in exchange for food and accommodation.

they issued it to me all ready validated.
i came to aus on a tourist visa, then got given a bridging visa so i could stay in the country while applying for a de facto visa. immagration then sent me a letter the other week saying my de facto visa had been granted and i could leave and re-enter aus as many times as i like. apparently its all electronic |

Ah well that's a different kettle of fish then. :) Loads of other visas need to be validated within a year of police checks/medicals. Good luck with the backpacking thing.
