time to stay out of USA as a GC-holder
Could anyone tell me for sure is that true when I'm travelling to Canada as a GC-holder so I can stay out of the USA for more than 6 months and no one makes any stamps (like a dates of leaving USA and entering USA) at borders. I heard US officers don't care of you and Canadians as well. So no one puts the dates of your leaving the US and entering into the USA. Is that true? Or it's a risky game to stay out for more than 6 months and your GC will be cancelled? But when you travelling to your native country (or anywhere else), they make such stamps. Is that a correct information or not? Thanks for replies.

There's no one way to success. There're as many as there're people willing to build them.

When you're coming back into the US and the POE officer asks you "how long have you been gone for," what will you answer?

That may have been the case at some point in the past, but nowadays they track
your entrances and exits across land borders as well. One of the changes after
9/11...
Furthermore, they can just ask you, and in particular, ask you to provide
evidence for your claims, e.g., creditcard bills, phone bills, etc.
Trying to get around the laws is not going to work anymore.

Your question amounts to "how do I get away with it?" rather than "how
do I comply with the law?"
Keep a US residence, bank account, etc., and think about getting a
reentry permit.
