Default H1B Stamp in Canada

I recently got my 7th year approval for H1B. Since State department discontinued visa revaliditation a few years ago, what is the best way to get a new visa stamp without having the need to go to my native country? Is third country (Canada) an option? Unfortunately, my canadian visitor visa is also expired. Is it possible to apply for Canadian visitor visa (with 7th year approval notice) and schedule an appointment with US consulate in Canada to request H1b visa? Is there another practicle route? Would appreciate if anyone can throw some ideas. Thanks.

You can certainly try and get it in Canada. There is a bit of a risk
involved, but it is probably fairly minimal.

Why do you need a visa in the first place? You really just need it to
travel, so your best bet might be to apply in whatever country you are
traveling to (especially if you are later planning to travel to your
home country).
