Starting from the beginning,(1) where do you go about getting the K-1 forms, I live
in the state of Missouri and(2) where do you find a sponser if you need one and(3)
what is the sponsers responsibility in the first palce. See I have a pretty good job,
but in my job includes my room and board in a very nice home, plus I get pay also,
but it will not meet the 125% guidelines, so I have thought of getting a second
job,(4) is there any time lines of how long you have been on a job for this income to
count? Also can anyone tell me the time line for a British citizen from England to
get this visa especially with the foot and mouth deseas going on over there?

Thank you so much for your help...Susan (this probuly won't be the last you hear
from me...lol)

Why don't you start by reading this; http://www.k1faq.com/ then come back and ask
your questions that were not answered.

Check the American Embassy website for the uk to find out about the foot and
mouth. I don't think it will effect the time line of getting the visa. I think the
service center you will be using would have more of an effect. I asked my father
to co sponser my fiance, because I am a student. I would ask someone you know
fairly well and who would feel comfortable doing this. A family member might be
the easiest way to go.

Hi Susan, I'm sure you're busy sifting through the FAQ notes from RJLiles's
suggestion, but I wanted to answer your last question from our personal experience.

We sent in our first form to London on Feb 2nd, they entered it in system on Feb 5th.
We were given our interview date yesterday (via phone) - April 6th.

That's 2 months from beginning to "end". Granted, we are DCF, already married, BUT,
we have seen proof that London is quick with the K-1's as well. So, from the UK end,
it should go rather well for you.

As for "Foot and Mouth", it has made no difference whatsoever. Except that when we go
for our interview in London, the Isle of Man will probably put us through the ringer
(and disinfectant) in order to get back on the island!!
