Special Registration Deadline is December 16th (Shusterman)
Special Registration: December 16 Deadline!
Nonimmigrant males over the age of 16 who are natives OR citizens of the
following countries must report to the INS by the following dates, and
regularly thereafter. A willful failure to register could result in
deportation or inadmissibility.
There are presently three groups are special registrants:
1. Natives and citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan and Syria - The last
day to register is tomorrow - December 16th.
2. Natives and citizens of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Eritrea,
Lebanon, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, Tunisia, United Arab
Emirates, and Yemen must register between December 2, 2002 and January 10,
2003.
3. Natives and citizens of Armenia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia must
register between January 13, 2003 and February 21, 2003.
