Requesting citizenship
Ok, this might sounds like a weird question, but it has been in my head a couple of weeks.
I just got my removal of conditions, I am so happy!! and I am eligable for the citizenship, but we are trying to get rif of some credit card debt first, so I kind of didn't want to use money to apply just yet.. and! I want to make sure once I apply, we don't move (always afraid they will lost my papers if I move, as we all know they are not great about address changes), and we are still looking our options about moving or not... well, long time ago a friend told me I should apply as soon as I was eligable, because if I wait, then they will flagged me because they will wonder about me, why if she could become a citizen before, she did not do it... ?
does it really matter if I wait a year more to apply for citizenship? or would it be better to apply now?
thanks!!!

Re: Requesting citizenship
You are free to apply whenever you want to. USCIS won't think any differently of you if you apply now, a year from now, or 10 years from now.

Nah, won't matter a bit. I've an English friend in PA who has been a resident since the 70's and only became a US Citizen in 2001. She was processed in the same amount of time as everyone else and not asked one question different than my husband who naturalized 3 years after obtaining residency.

the USCIS don't really care if you wanna become US citizen thats your choice . There is no law saying that you have to , just file whenever you are ready. Congrats on your removal of Conditional GC :-)
