Default Reapply for AOS in NYC? It may be quicker...

Hi all-

Random question here...for all of the people (like myself) that are in the black hole of AOS processing here in NYC (2002- early 03)...is it possible to just reapply? I know people that applied last year that got their greencard within a few short months. I'm sure I'm just dreaming but am curious if it's possible.

Thanks

Jenny

Did you get a confirmation that they received your application? If so,
I think it would be better if you somehow asked what the status was on
it, so you know they haven't lost it or something ;)
They might get annoyed at getting another application, when they must
receive a ton to begin with.

It is possible, but now that the pilot program is allegedly over you may doom yourself for another 2-3 years of waiting. And even if the program is not over, USCIS did note that if you refile during the pilot, your case may take longer since they have to locate your old file. How long would that take.... for all I know - another 2-3 years. So, you decide...!

I have never heard of people re-filing AOS, If I were you I would wait.. you have been waiting for a great while. Do you really want to spend another 350 dollars and then have your first AOS approved??.
Good Luck!!
