Re: Police clearance (from UAE) for GC interview
Hello All:
Season's greetings!
I recently went for my GC interview at Chennai (India) consulate. As i had
spent some time in UAE in 1993-94, I was asked to obtain police clearance
from UAE.
My questions are:
1) Does any one have experience getting police clearance from countries in
the middle east, UAE in particular?
2) How does one get police clearance from UAE.
3) Do I have to go to UAE personally for the clearance?
I will greatly appreciate any information on how to obtain police clearance
in the quickest and easiest possible way. TIA

You best bet would be to contact the UAE US Embassy and ask them how
do the local candidates get police clearance ceritficates
Inquiries should be directed to the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy
at [971](2) 443-6691 ext 2482, 2483, 2484, 2488.
You can also email, I doubt they will respond promptly to email
inquiries

a police certificate from UAE.
