Default Question for the Joint Sponcer...

when filling in part 4 Eligibility to Sponcer- we are choosing the box for filing
joint return then under that it tells us that we need to submit documentation of my
individual income with the w-2's and 1099.... what is a 1099???

1099 is any income earned not listed on your w-2's. For example you work on the side for a person building a building and they pay over 999$ for the job you did most will then issue you a 1099. So you can also include that as income. 1099-INT is another form that is interest you got from a banking account or any investments through a bank and so on those are also considered earned income even though you did not really work for it. On taxes you have to claim it and will be taxed on it. So if you have those it should be together with the sponsors taxes.
