No idea on how long it takes from approval to reach the courier.

But typically takes 3 to 5 days to get to your door after your interview date, if you get approved on that date. Could take up to 2 weeks, though. Don't forget the 22nd and 23rd were a US national holiday. So if you had the interview on the 21st, I'd start counting the days from today (Nov 26).

My interview at the US Embassy in London was on a Wednesday and I received my passport the following Tuesday (4-5 working days - I live in London). They advise at the Embassy to allow 7 working days for it to arrive, and you can also track your passport online.

I think that's only once the courier gets it though?

I think a week or two was about our timeframe earlier this year, from interview to arrival on doorstep. I don't know if it varies for different types of visas though.

But you probably didn't have your interview on a Wednesday before a long 4-day weekend holiday.

My son had his interview last Tuesday in London and received his passport with visa this morning. He did say he needed his passport for urgent travel.
