Default possible path to citizenship for kids of nonimmigrant temp work visa holders

just been reading this new bill which will allow anyone who “is the son or daughter of an alien admitted as a nonimmigrant” under the E-1, E-2, H-1B, and L-1 temporary work visa program.... a path to citizenship. Very interesting to those of us here with our kids. Is there any reason it wouldn't apply to UK citizens?

I don't see why it would not, especially when there's chatter of the per-country visa caps being done away with as well. Once those caps are removed immigration discrimination based on country of *birth* should disappear. Of course that would mean that the green card "lottery" program also needs to be canceled.

There's not a cat-in-hells chance that HR6 passes the Senate as currently written. To my mind it's still very unlikely, short of nuking the filibuster, than any immigration reform will get passed any time soon.

This is for internal politics issues in the Democrat Party, it is not a serious proposal.

The proposal to eliminate per country caps will have the effect of limiting immigration on the employment end of the shop to natives of India for some time. This discrimination has made the proposal controversial.
