Police Certificate - UK
Just to let people know that I have recieved mine in 21 days.
I was unwilling to send my passport in the post and had no other id to send with my
app so I went to the police headquarters in Chelmsford as specified on my form and
handed it in in person. Don't know if that made a difference or not. The lady said at
the time that if I had no convictions then it may well be quicker than the 40 days.
I remember someone posting that when they phoned Scotland Yard said they were taking
up to 50 days.. Maybe this is some proof they are getting their act together again.
Fingers crossed for everyone else waiting.

I did mine in March, it took 21 days. I think they have an obligation to do them within 40 days
