POE Chicago and London representatives confused :-D
Hi Everyone.
I finally arrived in Chicago, and am waiting for my flight to Orlando, Fl. I should start from the beginning. I flew through London, UK. What a mess at the airport LOL. Got into check in (was upgraded to Business Class which was amazing. This was AA. Anyways, when I showed them my passport the lady was like what is this pointing at my I-551 stamp. I kindly said that I am sorry my green card was stolen and new one is waiting for me at home and I got temporary stamp from USCIS. She said, hmm, I have to call someone so please have a seat. I sat down she came in 2 min and said that someone from the US immigration will be coming to talk to me. I waited about 40 min and finally a very kind officer came , apologized to me for the wait and looked at my passport and kinda laughed and said: "This is what they called me for? Saying that there is nothing wrong with my stamp and called the other lady and asked her how was she trained that she doesn't even know what this stamp means. He was annoyed by that because they caused me to wait and he kept apologizing. I just smiled and told him that it was ok. Next, arrived in Chicago, and went through the POE. CBP officer asked for my passport and green card. I said I don't have my GC and I pointed at the stamp he said ok. After a minute or so he said I will send you to another officer and he will check if that stamp is real. It took a minute and they let me go. It was a great experience. I am glad to be back here.
