Permanent Resident on Assignment - Reentry Permit Question
Hi
I'm a Perm Resident (British) who's been on assignment in Germany for the last 4 mths. I never filed for a reentry permit because with the new biometrics rule the lawyer told me it could take 1 - 2 months and I needed to get out here quick for work. I scheduled a flight back early September (will have been 5 mths away.) Can anyone tell me realistically how long to get the biometrics done and back to Germany or if there's any possibility of doing it at US Consulate in Germany? I'm worried a prolonged absence from workplace could jeopardize my assignment. Thanks in advance.

Until March 2009. I need to get the reentry permit so I don't "abandon" my green card. Just need to know how long from when I arrive back in the US until I can get the biometrics done. Surely it can't be 1-2 months???
