Default Schedule C Tax form help

Ok, so after months of knowing that I have to file US tax returns, I have finally sat down and tried to work everything out. I figure that if I leave it any longer, we will never get to the USA!

Anyway, I am self employed so I have to file form schedule C as well as the 1040 and 2555. I actually have 2 "businesses". During the week, I home tutor an autistic kid fulltime, and at the weekends, I have a chocolte fountain rental business. Ok, I think that info is beside the point, but what I need help on is whether I have to do 2 schedule C forms??

Also, can we go ahead and file the I 130 for my husband before I have completed all my tax returns?

Many thanks!

You can file the I-130; the tax returns aren't needed for a few months yet.

I hate doing my own tax returns and am barely qualified to do that. The TurboTax forums are very helpful for tax stuff though.

The chocolate fountain rental business has an alias, a DBA or an entity name? If so, then you would prepare a Schedule C for that entity and carry whatever net profits over to your 1040 as personal income. If the tutoring activity has no expenses involved, then you could simply report that as additional income on the 1040 (not sure what line that is offhand) and not have to prepare a Schedule C.
