It is *not* available online. "If you have not known an eligible guarantor for at least TWO (2) years, complete a "Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor" form PPTC 132, available from any Passport Canada service location in Canada or any Canadian government office in the USA. This form must be completed at your expense before a person authorized by law to administer an oath or solemn affirmation."

This is for anyone who sent in an application in the last couple of months for a renewed British Passport. There has been a delay in getting our passports. I wrote to The North American Passport Production Centre, British Embassy, 19 Observatory Circle, Washington DC 2008-3611. I receive a call back less then a week after I sent my letter and the passport is being sent.

Hi, there are several threads in the USA forum regarding the production problems for British passport (this thread is about Canadians, who have different rules to follow). I'll see about merging or moving your post.

Oh never mind, I see you've already found it.

For air travel, or other commercial transportation, you probably need a Canadian passport. Without one, you will not be allowed to board the aircraft.

If you are going to enter on the land frontier, then it may well still be the case that a Canadian citizenship card, or expired Canadian passport, may be acceptable. They cannot refuse entry to a Canadian citizen.

Coming back to the United States, a green card should be acceptable on the land frontier. By air, a green card on its own should theoretically still be acceptable, but an airline may want to see a passport as well.

My husband finally received his passport this morning. UPS never called so I was shocked when they delivered it. To those who have not received their passports yet. I wish you the best of luck. This site has been so much help. Thanks again.
