Default Oh Crap - Don't have my I-797

I've hit a bit of a snag in my AOS, I'm in the process of putting together the forms and shouldn't have any other problems (!) but for the life of me I can't find my I-797.

To be perfectly honest I can't remember ever having seen it, the whole last few days in England were a bit of a blur. I have a document from the Immigrant Visa Branch of the US Embassy in London saying they've received an approved petition in support of my fiance visa but I don't think this is it as it doesn't say I-797 anywhere on it.

Regardless I have my passport with the K-1 visa in it and my marriage license, is this going to be enough? If not does anyone know who I can contact to get a copy.

Thanks people!

Did the USC not keep a copy of the NOA2?

You can call the customer service center and request another one - but as you've misplaced it (by no fault of theirs), they are probably going to make you submit the form and $340 fee to get another one.

Usually the USC is the one who receives the I-129F approval notice. She should have at least a photocopy of it, if not the original. If she sent it to you to bring to the interview, then you should have a photocopy of it.

If neither of you can find it, go ahead and submit the AOS without it. If you receive an RFE for it, deal with it then.

I agree with Rene. You wouldn't have it unless your now wife sent it to you to bring to the US Consulate. It must be in her file of immigration paperwork.

Yep, that was the answer - the reason I couldn't remember having it was I never did, it was buried away in my wife's important documents file. Thanks everyone.
