NVC/Name check approvals
Anyone have to wait for name check clearance that has been approved at NVC
recently?

Yup, pretty much everyone does. You are now in the black hole that has no
opening. Look around you and you will see all of us standing side by side
together. Wish we could take advantage of that some how and force their hand
on these cases.

Yes, my approved K3 petition has been stuck at nvc for past 5 weeks
due to name checks. What is your timeline?

NVC received our case on 4/4/03. I called and spoke to woman who said it
would take between 2-4 weeks. I just wondered if that was a true time frame
or not.

21 days from TSC approval to NVC approval. April 3, 03.

TSC told me yesterday that NVC usually takes about 3 days. Such conflicting information. I did not know they were doing name checks. Is this some sort of criminal check?

They're running extensive security checks but only on certain
nationalities. So far looks like it affects the Russians and people
from the Middle east.
