We received it back on 25/10. This was all from Melbourne, Australia. Spreadsheet has been updated accordingly. Thankfully he has been issued with a 5-year visa. He did miss out family holiday - had to laugh that the passport was received the day my daughter and I arrived back but now we can plan another trip in a few years time.

Good luck to those waiting.
Congrats! I'm still waiting, they've had my passport since 02/10 so no idea why it's taking this long. I need the visa for work so very stressful, already had 2 flights to join a ship cancelled in the last couiple of weeks.
It also seems the contact form has been removed from the website so I tried the ringing call centre number last week but they just said my review was in progess and I would be notified etc...

I was arrested when I was 14 now 40 and obviously I declared this when I went for my interview last time. Nothing has changed since I last applied but obviously if I tick yes could I still be eligible for the waiver?? Bit confusing. Cheers
Yes you tick yes as you have to declare all arrests and as you say you did last time they will have it on record. Assuming you had the waiver last time then this time is exactly the same, go to the interview with all paperwork, visa is refused and you are recommened for the waiver, then wait - currently around 10 months.

Good morning Skishlee
Hope you enjoyed your trip (even with the hurricane ) I just reread your post and its unreal that you had to wait 7 months just for the interview !!!!
Thank goodness we were able to do ours online with no face to face interview (we are only in Bendigo 100 k' s from Melbourne )
i was thinking ours was taking so long as we didnt have a face to face but we would almost still be waiting for the interview if we had to go down there .
Im hoping our email will turn up in the next couple of weeks, we have a cruise booked from Brisbane to Japan , Alaska ,finishing up at Seattle and we have to be paid up by the 3rd December
Thanks for your info as we are the only 2 Aussies it was great to get your input
Cheers Deb

Hi All,

Just wondering if you all think that the email info below from the consulate means we need to submit further information? Or is this the same email response all have received in this forum for a 221G waiver?

221G Email example

221(g) has been completed - ConOff made a decision. You have a permanent bar due to your past conviction. That said, the ConOff has recommended you for a 212(d)(3) waiver. You have to await the decision from the ARO of CBP in Washington DC.

Thanks for your quick reply I really appreciate it. This is his 3rd waiver but the most confusing and the longest wait
We did it all online this time no face to face meeting (which i think is better you know where you stand )
I was just worried they needed more paperwork or the paperwork he sent was incorrect
Thanks again
Deb
